LOVE OF CHRIST by Sis. Nefisat Momoh Rebecca

When I think of the cross, I think of agony, the shame, the beating of his flesh, the bruising of his face, the plucking of his beard, the  nailing of his soft youthful skin to a rugged tree. When I think of the cross, it is the most grotesque picture of murder ever painted on the face of time. It was so awful that the sun was ashamed, the ground became so uncomfortable that it began to tremble. The cross, the place of agony, the place where love was placed on trial the sentenced to death. It was the place where the greatest lover had to prove how much he so loved the world.
For if he can look at his own pain and refer to it as passion, then I must recognize that GOD loves us in a way so far beyond anything we can refer to as love.

For who else but GOD can decide to write us a love letter with HIS own flesh, use HIS hand for paper, release HIS blood for ink, and declare HIS passion in the most vibrant shade of red? Oh yes, what a lover HE is!

Sex is worth waiting for by Bro. Bayo Osinowo

Sex is good for the right people. When a man is not licensed, whatever he does is illegal, that’s the same with SEX. When you are not married, it becomes a sin. Sex is never without consequence. Sex is always tied to some other responsibility. Sex has a great consequence it is never free someone always pay in one way or the other.
Sex has a great reward for its participants but the greatest of all is HIV/AIDS. The AIDS virus is many times smaller than sperm. You can get AIDS much more quickly than you can get pregnant. Many times, sex and love are very different. Sex is a desire (appetite) while love is a decision (and commitment). Sex never causes people to love each other. If Sex caused love, the world would be a very lovely populated place. Love can only be expressed sexually at the right time and in the place which is in marriage. The more you know about the purpose of sex, the less likely you are to abuse it.
The best option for sex is abstinence. Sex is worth, waiting for. Abstinence is giving your body the respect it deserves, that you serve to say No to premarital sex. Remember, your body is God’s sanctuary. No touching from the neck to the knees and keep all your clothes on, zippers closed and buttons buttoned. Remember, most men who are sexually active still prefer a virgin when they want to get married.

BE OPTIMISTIC by Prince Bobby (Ghana)

“Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Because unless you believe that the future can be better, you are unlikely to step up and take responsibility for making it so.”― Noam Chomsky.
Romans 8:28 says And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

An optimist is a person who usually expects a favorable outcome from life and out of every situation.

To be Optimistic is know that all things whether good or bad are working together for your good, it is to believe and expect a favorable outcome from your pursuit and endeavors.

The story of Thomas Edison comes to mind here, Thomas Edison conducted 10,000 separate experiments before he invented the incandescent light bulb. When he was asked how he felt about failing 10,000 before succeeding. Thomas Edison said “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. In my opinion I believe among other things, Thomas Edison was optimistic about the experiment he was conducting which made him to keep trying, pressing on and believing for a favorable outcome from his experiment.

Friends, keep trying, pressing and believing for a favorable outcome from life and all you do.
“Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Because unless you believe that the future can be better, you are unlikely to step up and take responsibility for making it so.”
You just need to be optimistic about life, believing that all things are going to work together for your good in that process you are becoming the person God wants you to be.

An extract from my book title “Becoming the person God wants me to be”.

YEAR OF TRUIMPH by Bro. Oluwasegun Oloruntegbe

For whosoever has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith. Who is this that overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the son of God. – 1 John 5:4-5.
‘Whosoever’ at the beginning of this verse shows that God is no respecter of anyone, that whosoever is willing to associate with God, that only person, not on behalf of anyone,  be it family or friends is considered. He believes that Jesus is the Messiah and the son of God by nature and office. He has the love of God – John 4:19 would be free from Satan – John 5:18 and sin – John 3:9 and would possess the power to overcome the world – John 5:14.
He perceives that the Lord Jesus conquered the world, not for himself only, but for His followers and they must be partakers of His victory. ‘Be of good cheer, I have overcome the World’. He sees a Saviour ‘who gave himself for sins, that he might deliver us from this present world’ – Gal 1:4
He is possessed with a spirit and deposition that cannot be satisfied with this world, that looked beyond it and still tending, striving and pressing towards the world in Heaven.
He knows that the Saviour was not this world and His kingdom was not and is not, must be separated from the world and gathered out of it for Heaven and for God.
The person involved would be described by his faith and the dignity of his descent.
This condition of sonship – John 3:1-3 and association is the authority over Satan and the world.
Our Faith – This principle of faith and the new nature that it springs from are ingenerated by the spirit of God.  It seems but natural that he who loves the father should also love the children and love Jesus and the only begotten son of God. The aspect of faith is act of salvation – Acts 4:12, which is the ability to do what we are told and believe, it is an attitude of ‘Nothing impossible’ with God, The believe in God gives you the power that overcomes the world.
